Inspired by Tigsource competitions and using the idea of Mrennix (who was the only one that join the last compo). I invite all you to join to the second IndieLib competition... RELOADED...

IndieLib Competition are short competitions based around a particular theme. The emphasis is on collaboration, sharing, and, most of all, the completion of projects. I.e., it's an exercise in making small, tight, enjoyable / interesting games that can be played from beginning to end. There are no prizes involved.

The theme of the game is to create an Interactive Toy. This could be something as simple as a light show that responds to mouse clicks; a "Tamagotchi" pet, a warrior in a small scenery, an intelligent robot, a growing carnivore plant, an stupid dog, an alien, a city of lot of small crazy balls, etc. It will be more much funny if there is a mechanic and it is playable. But feel free to experiment whatever ideas you have.

All the submitted games will be voted by you in a poll.

Start Date: March 12th (Midnight)
End Date: April 12th (Midnight)

- All the games have to use IndieLib. Sourcecode submitting is not required but will be appreciated.

- Entries should be started and ended within the time frame of the competition to be considered for judging (but it's OKAY if you start thinking/prototyping a bit earlier).

- Using pre-existing IndieLib frameworks is OKAY.

- Entries must be made for the competition only (but you can do whatever you wish with them once they're finished).

- Collaborations are allowed and, in fact, are welcomed.

- You may start a thread to track the development of your game! Be sure to write [Toy 2] before the title in your post.

- You may submit more than one game.

- Submit your game by declaring "FINISHED" on your game's thread. Include the download link to the latest version of the game somewhere where I can find it.

Let's do it!

Thank you!

If you want a chinese subforum you just have to ask for it. What I don't know if these forums support chinese codification.

Sorry for extreme sillyness.
Must be my exitement to enter my first programming competition.
This will be fun!

I like the idea to document the progress (all the trials and errors) in a thread here. So I think, before I start any development, I will start this thread. First things first :)

Just a thought, when we're voting for which entry should win, we don't do it with a regular poll right? Just to make sure people don't vote for their own entries and so that you can add motivations and such :P

I'm sure you've though about it but just in case :)

Yep, we will vote just posting in a thread. And voters will must have at least 15 posts in order to be able to vote.

15 posts maybe is too much. I think 5 posts would be enough. I think you are polite enough in order not to call spammers for voting your own entries :)
