Hi

I've just discovered indielib, and would love to give a linux port a go.

There's a lot of windows specific code, so there would be quite a lot to change , but it's certainly doable.

Once it's been ported to a second platform, doing ports to more should prove much easier.

Cheers,

David

Is somebody working on something? I feel forum is dead, as well as people posting and using Indielib....

Also, I would like to help with development of new features and bug fixing... is it possible?

I'ts hard to say but I'm currently in a point that I really don't have any more time to keep active the development of IndieLib.

But no worries. IndieLib is a OpenSource project. All the source is public, it has quite a lot of tutorials, and I hope some of you will keep the development and improve it.

I will of course give feedback to those who will try to improve the lib.

Hello, IndieLib!

Short version:
I'm interested in joining the dev team. My specialty is UI.

Long version:
I'm a professional game developer who can't seem to stop myself from working on Indie projects on the side. It's just plain fun to make games. I have several years of experience specifically creating UIs and modifying 3rd party UI frameworks. I had actually started putting together a UI framework for IndieLib, with an eye toward making a UI editor as well, before I found venomjj's VJGUI in the forums. VJGUI is a step in the right direction, but there's a good deal more that could be useful on top of it, and I'm interested to see if that's something I might be able to help you with. I'm also curious to know if venomjj is still around and planning to integrate his work into the cross-platform development or not (wouldn't want to step on his toes).

Hej Tiok and welcome,

New hands hacking on the Indielib code are always welcome. I suggest you take a look at the roadmap (link in my signature) to see the current state of our progress and contact dev team leader DarthMike to coordinate (I suggest private message or mail) where you can pitch in. I know he's a little busy right now, but he usually replies in a day or two.

About the user venomjj, - I can see that his last login on the board was Tue Jun 16, 2009 3:43 am, so that seems a long time ago. You could see if he has a mail address and / or website you could contact him by.
